In John 17:3, Jesus says, "Now this is eternal life: that they may know [the Father], the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." What does this statement say about the way we live our lives here on earth?
What can I do to help earth look more like heaven?

I believe that in living our lives on a daily basis the way that Jesus would have lived it, we can help earth to look more like heaven. I don't mean to say that we need to live a perfect life....only Jesus did that. I mean that we should try to look at others, even those with whom we do not agree, through Jesus' eyes and try really hard to see them as Jesus sees them; to love them as God loves them, no matter what.
We are all brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, through whom we are saved. We are family. While not all families get along with each other, we should strive to put others before ourselves...to act in Christian love. By doing that and showing others Jesus' face on our faces, we invite them to become a part of the family and be loved by others.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I felt the message was absolutely "right on". It was exactly what I needed to hear at the perfect time. It is a joy and a blessing to attend this church.
