Talk about suffering .... My most recent experience involved sitting in ICU six days in April seeing my brother on life support. He was doing so badly that one day the doctors talked to me about removing it. It was against his wishes that he be put on life support anyway. I prayed and prayed unceasingly and even had his name put on the prayer list. God once again answered out ptayers and today he is on the road to recovery. We truly do have a loving heavenly Father.
I wish I could put this question on the blog to get other's opinions too but I wonder - what will happen to devout Muslims, Hindus, Buddists, etc. when they die? I mean, they've been as devout a follower of their higher being as I have been of God.
Will they go to heaven? Do they go to a separate heaven or do they, because they do not believe in Jesus Christ as son of God, go to Hell?
Welcome to the Clear Lake United Methodist Church worship blog. This is a place where we can continue the discussions we began in Sunday morning worship. Ask or say anything - you may even choose to post anonymously. Feel free to disagree and to offer your own insights - this will help discussion! Difficult questions, theological or practical are welcome. I hope this blog is a helpful tool for deepening your faith.
Instructions for Getting Started
"Blogging" may be new to some of us. Have no fear! You won't mess anything up or hurt yourself by giving it a try.
A "blog" (short for "web log") consists of several articles or questions (called "posts") that are written by the blog administrator and the comments of anyone and everyone else. In this blog, each post has a bold blue title and is located on the left side of the page. You can read the post right there on the homepage.
To read the comments other people have made about that post, click on the word "comments" at the bottom right of each post.
After you read the comments, you can add your own comment by typing in the "Leave Your Comment" box on the right side of the page.
There is no need to create a user name and password. Instead, just click the bullet that says "Other" and write your name. (If you wish to remain anonymous, then click the bullet that says "Anonymous"). When you you have finished writing your comment, click "Publish Your Comment."
You're finished! Your comment will find its way to the Blog's main page shortly.
Repeat these steps for as many comments as you'd like to make. Happy blogging!
